Maneck N. Mulla is an Advocate and Solicitor with over twenty years of experience. A fourth generation lawyer, he began his career at his family firm, Mulla & Mulla & Craigie Blunt & Caroe, where he was a partner, and was thereafter a partner at Wakhariya & Wakhariya, Advocates and Solicitors, which was affiliated with Kelley Drye & Warren LLP, New York. He founded M Mulla Associates in 2010.

Profile

Maneck practices in real estate, litigation and arbitration, commercial contracts and the laws of succession. In his real estate work he has dealt with land titles, land acquisition, mortgages, leases and development agreements, and has advised one of the largest multinational FMCG companies on several of its real estate matters in India as well as India’s largest domestic alcoholic beverages company on acquisitions of manufacturing facilities across the country.
He has advised and represented clients before several High Courts, the Supreme Court and various tribunals, in commercial matters as well as constitutional writs, and has advised on complex insurance claims. Clients describe him as a settling lawyer who achieves favourable outcomes through hard and practical negotiation. He is a member of the India Enforcement Committee of the International Cotton Association, Liverpool, an arbitral body concerned with a substantial share of the world cotton trade.
Maneck also advises on share purchase and shareholders agreements, complex debt transactions and the acquisition of master franchise rights by foreign brands entering India. He regularly advises on succession planning, including Wills, Codicils and Trust Deeds, and advises trustees on the administration of estates. Clients describe him as a hands on lawyer with attention to detail and a practical approach.
